We see things differently because of the vision we carry. We are empowered in everything we do. We communicate our vision from time to time and reinforce the path towards it through continuing dialogue, action, and example. We endure and we are faithful.
We are grounded on our vision. We learn from individuals whom we consider as our mentors. We continuously build our capacities, cultivate values, and shine in everything we do. We always emphasize team effort – never taking personal credit for any great deed. We walk the talk and do the right things right.
We share what we have to our co-members and others. We nurture the great meaning of faith and encourage one another to lead by example. We think of ourselves as advocates in preserving the sanctity of God’s creations. We espouse responsibility over power and accountability over authority.
We nurture and empower communities. We radiate our vision from outputs to outcomes and bring them outside the walls of our organizations through collaboration and convergence. We strive for a just and inclusive society. We sacrifice, commit to shared work and values, and trust the process.
▪ Collaborate. Every task becomes easy when everyone takes ownership.
▪ Be Helpful. A kind gesture can reach a wound that only compassion can heal.
▪ Be Alert. Opportunity does not waste time with those who are unprepared.
▪ Be Motivated. It’s never an accident you are here, so push yourself and remember your purpose.
▪ Be Punctual. It’s a thief that draws the benefits of time, abusing its muteness and kindness.
▪ Be Innovative. Without change there is no innovation, creativity, or incentive for improvement. Those who initiate change will have a better opportunity to manage the change that is inevitable.
▪ Be Obedient. Obedience is a strong virtue, capable of making me master of my emotions by giving me more strength to conquer my pride as I submit to those above me out of respect for their God- given authority and those below me out of love.
▪ Never Forget To Have Fun! When you have confidence, you can have lots of fun. And when you have fun, you can do amazing things!
Youth Leadership Excellence for Active Development (Youthlead) Philippines (YLP) Inc. is a non-stock, non-profit, non-political, and youth-focused development organization. Founded in 15 January 2011, our mission is to engage young leaders, enable their capacities to become Transformational Leaders, and empower them and their partners to impact communities. The vision of the organization is twofold. Our vision for one another is to become Transformational Leaders sharing the same purpose and values for the social transformation of our communities. Our vision for YLP is to become the country’s premier youth development organization on Transformational Leadership transforming one youth, one partner, and one community at a time.
